Defensive Pistol Skills Class
We are now proud to present the Defensive Pistol Skills Class for our customers. The course is a continuation of the pistol skills that are learned in the CWP class. This class is typically held on a Friday night from 6pm – 10pm. All 4 hours of the class will be on the range.
The cost of tuition for the Defensive Pistol Skills Class is $75.
This class is open to holders of a valid Concealed Weapon Permit from any state or to those that have taken my CWP class and have not yet received their CWP.
I reserve the right to refuse admission to this training to any person at my sole discretion.
The class will be all range time and will cover the following skills:
- basic pistol handling review
- review of malfunction drills
- magazine changes/reloading techniques
- review of one-handed shooting
- alternate position shooting (kneeling and prone)
- shooting around barricades (standing and kneeling)
- shooting from a seated position
- low-light pistol/flashlight techniques
You will need to bring the following items to the class:
- a defensive pistol NOTE: single-action action, “cowboy-type” pistols and semi-auto target pistols (such as the Ruger MK I, II, III, IV, 22/45, or Browning Buckmark) are not appropriate for this class
- strong-side belt or paddle holster
- 150 rounds of ammunition
- flashlight (Surefire or Streamlight type tactical flashlights are recommended)
- long pants
- knee pads are optional
